Today’s Verse

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Psalm 90:12

Monday, November 28

“I’m sorry, God. I never really had time to read Your Bible. I had appointments. I never took the time to pray because I was busy. I never could find ten minutes a day to sit down and read Your Bible because I had schedule conflicts.”

What do you think God will say, “You think I put you on Earth for appointments? You think I put you on Earth to make deals? You think I put you on Earth to play bridge? I put you on Earth to get to know Me and you couldn’t even carve out ten minutes a day for Me. What were you thinking?”

MOST people have missed the most important thing in life. They don’t know God.

Even Christians do not really know God because they are not spending time in His Word, reading it, listening to Him, worshiping Him. It all boils down to this: What are you living for?  More importantly, who are you living for? Tell me the answer to that question and I can tell you instantly the level of stress in your life. Tell me who you’re living for.

If you are living for yourself, the stress is high. If you are living for your reputation, your stress is high. If you are living for your retirement, your stress is high. Who are you living for?

Today’s verse in Psalm 90 is really a prayer. It is not finding time for what is important. It is a matter of making time. You are never going to find the time. The devil will make sure you are too busy.

Psalm 100:5

"At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us."
