Today’s Verse

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:6

Thursday, November 24

When we study the life of Jesus, you find that no matter how busy He was, He took time to pray.

You say, “I know it’s good to pray… I know it is good to read my Bible. I just don’t have time.”  Then you are just too busy. You are not going to have time.

I have just enough time to do God’s will. God put you on this Earth to do a certain number of things. God would not give you more things to do than He gives you the time to do it. God would not expect more of you and then not give you the time and energy to do it. If you’re not getting the important things done in your life, it means one of two things.

  1.   You are doing some things in your life that you should not be doing. You are doing some things that God never intended you to do.
  1.   You are doing the right things; you are just doing them the wrong way. You are not being efficient, effective. You are not managing your time wisely. You need to sharpen some skills.

God promises to bless you when you put Him first in your life. Let’s focus on today’s verse. It is the same thing with your time. God says, “If you put Me first with your time, I will make the rest of your time stretch and go further than you thought possible.” You say, “I don’t have time for a daily quiet time… I do not have time for a Growth Group. I don’t have time to study the Bible.”  God says, “Ok, you’re on your own then in terms of time. See if you can make it stretch.” Very convicting to me!

Weekly Memory Verse

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Psalm 100:4

"Gratitude is one of the most powerful human emotions. Once expressed, it changes attitude, brightens outlook, and broadens our perspective."
