Today’s Verse

Wisdom is before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.

Proverbs 17:24

Saturday, November 12

The world is spinning out of control. Your favorite politician was not elected. Unabated wickedness now pervades our society. Things are happening that we thought might happen in the future, only the future is now!

Maybe, you were trusting in some particular candidate to “save America.” We are having a difficult time discovering what is truly important, and now we are just floundering. I sense literally there is a fatigue among our church that has zapped the very energy, the lifeblood of what we are supposed to be doing as a church.

We have forgotten what is important. We cannot figure out what we are supposed to be doing. We put our confidence in a news report, politician, or doctor and often discount or move God’s Word and His principles for our life to the very bottom of our priorities.

I know this to be true as so many have failed in their church attendance, stopped giving to the Lord, or paused their walk with the Lord. There has been a malaise that has swept across God’s church. We must fix this NOW!

The good news is that the Bible teaches the antidotes – particularly in the book of Proverbs – to these three barriers that I wrote about yesterday. I would like to give you three biblical antidotes to this disgustingly sinful and evil world that we as Christians have our existence in. I ask that you consider implementing each one into your personal life. As we eliminate the unnecessary, we can add these useful tools in our daily life. Let’s do this together!

Weekly Memory Verse

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Psalm 100:1-2

"Thanksgiving Day is a jewel, to set in the hearts of honest men; but be careful that you do not take the day, and leave out the gratitude."
