Sadly, Jesus also says many there be which go in by this path of least resistance. They follow wrong directions. Their philosophy is like that of the people of Noah’s day as represented in today’s verse. This wide path is attractive and appears to be an easy route; however, there is great, great danger to all who follow this path.
Jesus also said there is another path and He called it the narrow path. Some Bible teachers picture this “gate” like a turnstile at an amusement park; we can only go through one at a time. No one can go through for us and we can bring no one with us.
Jesus said this path is “difficult.” It’s a path of resistance. It is like swimming upstream.
We pay nothing for salvation but life in Christ ultimately costs us everything.
When a person is genuinely saved and totally identifies with Jesus, Satan declares war on him. This path leads to “life.”
Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one cometh unto the Father but by Me.
He said in John 10:10, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
This path is taken by few. Which path are you currently traveling?
