Today’s Verse

Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields: for they are white already to harvest.

John 4:35

Monday, December 19

“Lift up your eyes…” You must look out and see the need. Look for what needs to be done. Why do Christians have blinders on? Where are the Christians that will lift up their eyes and see the harvest?

See the need, and take the lead. Let God show your heart a need, and then get involved and take the lead. Praise the Lord there are so many in our very own congregation that are involved as a result of seeing the need. Thank you!

I have learned, if you wait for someone else to get the job done, it will never get done. Be that person who gets the job done for our Lord.

See the need for souls to be saved. There are folks who are reading this devotional who have not led a soul to Christ in years and years. What a travesty! We’ve lost our burden for souls! Church, it is time that we get our eyes back on the harvest field. They are white and the harvest is ready! Oh, that God would give us a burden for souls.

Henry Ford bought a very large life insurance policy and then his friend called him, “Why didn’t you buy the insurance from me?”  Mr. Ford answered his question, “Because you never asked me.”

I wonder how many we could bring to Christ if we would ask for a few minutes of their time to share Christ with them.

Weekly Memory Verse

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
