I’ve personally witnessed Christians who are hot for one month and cold for two or three months and they go back and forth. My friend, it is not the Bible or this church that has changed. It is not God that has changed.
Many times, it is the Christian that was filled with this divine enabling; this grace of God and then all of sudden they become filled with the things of this world. Many Christians no longer care the way they used to care. This is why we provide this opportunity called, Journey Through Christmas, for it provides ample opportunity for all of us to be involved in reaching others.
We are a grace-based ministry meaning the several hundred that are involved in ministry right here at Tucson Baptist are banded together by God’s grace; called together by God’s grace, serving together by God’s grace and thank God His grace enables us. God’s grace keeps us going on. Just read today’s verse for further amplification of this thought.
Paul said that the thing that keeps him in ministry is the grace of God. With God’s calling comes God’s enabling, God’s grace and God’s divine disposition to respond to various circumstances and challenges. I thank God for this principle.
If we are going to reach this world, it will only happen when God’s grace gets a hold of our hearts and we see a lost soul as someone Christ died for. We cannot see our community as filled with problems; we must see our community filled with opportunities and people who desperately need the Lord Jesus Christ.
