Today’s Verse

I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

1 Timothy 5:21

Observing the Lord’s Table, the Lord’s Supper or Communion should be the heightened time in the life of the church when there is a love and a respect one for another in the local body.

I Corinthians 10:17 – For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

I Corinthians 12:12, 18 – For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

Ephesians 4:1-4 – I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

God has brought us together from all different backgrounds, but the Holy Spirit brings unity into the body. The Spirit of God is not divided. By love, we must serve one another. It does not matter your background or your race, the ground is level at the cross. We are commanded and enabled by God to love one another.
